A new exhibition by local group Superstars, Cookstown is now on show at the Burnavon. Never felt this way before is the result of a felt making project supported by Cookstown District Councils Arts and Cultural Development Small Grants Programme 2012–13. The exhibition runs until Friday 3rd May.
The artworks on display are the culmination of a series of felt making workshops held over the past few months where members of the Superstars Club were taken on a creative journey by local textile artist Andrea Hayes, learning how to use merino wools to produce flat felt in vibrant colours. The felt was then used with other craft materials to design and make finished artworks, each reflecting the creativity of the individual Superstar.
