Everything Everywhere Always
Date: Monday 3 – Monday 31 December
Artist: Gavin Porter
Gavin’s art attempts to create a visual language through which to engage with the uncanny nature of forms and phenomena. This language is realised through the mediums of (primarily) drawing, and etching. Referencing techniques observed in historical engravings, my work seeks to exploit the linear, monochrome qualities of these mediums to present imagery which explores the surreal territory between memory, imagination and reality. Central to these investigations is a fascination with science and the mechanics of nature.
Through careful observation of both the micro and the macro worlds which are ever present in our daily lives, and by applying attention to minute detail, these images seek to reveal patterns and structure within the seemingly chaotic, the overlooked, the sublime and the absurd.

Date: Monday 07 January – Thursday 31 January
Artist: Caroline Getty
Since graduating in 2016, Caroline Getty has continued to create mixed media sculptural work from her home in the North Coast of Ireland. She combines ceramics with soft materials such as paper and fabric to create objects which when fused together create one almighty bond.
Her latest series of work incorporates linen within the ceramic form, portraying an echoing statement symbolising our cultural history. Using cool and tonal colours give the objects a cold and tense approach, depicting a resemblance to past memories; stronger colours present a more evident awareness as we look to the future.

Weavers House
Date: Friday 01 February – Thursday 28 February
Artist: Deborah Malcomson and residents from Weavers House, Cookstown
Artist Deborah Malcomson is working with residents from Weavers House on an exciting creative project. All the residents have been hands on in creating many artworks from printing to sculpture. This collaboration of work will be exhibited in the Burnavon during February 2019 and then returning to Weavers House as a permanent piece for everyone to enjoy.

Arts Council of Northern Ireland
Date: Friday 01 March – Sunday 31 March
Artist: Various
The exhibition will showcase the work of women artists from the Collection of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. The works in the Collection show some of the best examples of contemporary art from Northern Ireland and each of the pieces is challenging and innovative in its own way. We will see the diverse range of concerns and observations that the artists are highlighting in their work. There will be work in a range of media including photography and painting.
