On Wednesday 15th May at 1.45 pm at the Burnavon, Cookstown, Touch the Sky will present their new production Waking Dreams – a quirky story of family and twisted relationships. Ten actors unravel their dreams and life stories through comedy and performance – warm, humorous and uncompromising. Waking Dreams is inspired by the work of Shaw, Martin McDonagh, Joseph O’Connor, Brian Friel and many more.
Touch the Sky is the resident performance group at The Model, Sligo. This unique performance group came together four years ago when The Model and Rehabcare Sligo began working together. With a number of performances under their belt including Cairde Festival 2009 the company members are committed to developing their skills and capabilities to the level where they can challenge public perception about adults with physical and learning disabilities.
Their new ensemble piece, Waking Dreams is directed by the groups, new Artistic Director, Marie de La Guéronnière.
This project has been supported by the Arts and Culture Development Department of Cookstown District Council.
Admission is FREE. To book your seat, contact the Box Office on 028 8676 9949 or by calling in to the Burnavon, Burn Road. Group tickets are available.
