Carol and Jimmy, favourites of the Burnavon Christmas audience continue to make us laugh with their all–new Christmas Cracker on Thursday 11th December and what a show it promises to be this year with the usual entertaining blend of music, chat and surprises on the night! Tickets are £10.
There’s plenty of festive music as we celebrate not only the Christmas season but also the tenth year that Christmas Country Showtime takes to the stage, as Sean Wallace comperes the best in Country entertainment on Saturday 13th December in the company of Louise Morrissey, Tom Cooper, Joe Moore, Shauna McStravock, Kenny Archer and Country Harmony (tickets are £16.50).
Be sure to have your mince pies at the ready as once again, audiences will be entertained by the Sperrin Choir who on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th December perform a special collection of seasonal favourites in their Christmas concert. Tickets are £10 (£8 concession).
In a programme designed with a festive touch, join us on Friday 19th December in the company of Cookstown Youth Choir, Cookstown Folk Club and others to celebrate all the wonderful arts activities produced in our District. Tickets are £10.
As Christmas Day approaches, start your celebrations in the company of The Knotty Pine String Band and The Down and Out Bluegrass Band as Bluegrass comes to town on Saturday 20th December. A real treat for you or as fantastic gifts for friends or family, tickets are £10.
The High Kings hit the Burnavon stage for one night only on Sunday 21st December and tickets, priced £25, have been selling like hot cakes, so limited seats remain – if you want to catch this fantastic live band loaded with talent, showcasing lively new songs and rousing old favourites then you’ll have to be quick!
2014 was of course the year that the Garth Brooks concert never was, but you’ll have one last chance before the year ends to see Ireland’s own Garth Brooks – Jason Hughes performing on Saturday 27th December. Hordes of Country Music fans have been seeing stars, stripes and Stetsons with the man who has been making Garth Brooks fans eat their hats in amazement! Tickets are £15.
Santa will be setting up his Grotto in the Burnavon again this Christmas and all the little ones (and not so little ones) are invited to come along, when there’ll be an opportunity to write and post your letter to Santa, meet the man himself and receive a special gift, with a photograph of your visit. Grotto opening times are Thursday 11th & 18th December, 3–7pm; Friday 12th & 19th December, 3–7pm; Saturday 13th & 20th December, 3–7pm; and Sunday 14th December, 1–6pm. Christmas and New Year is of course panto season, and this year Stewartstown Dramatic Society present Humpty Dumpty and the Magic Wall. You can be assured of wonderful costumes, amazing sets, great music, and lots of laughs making our traditional festive pantomime unmissable entertainment for the whole family! Tickets are £10 and performances are on Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 7.30pm from Friday 9th – Saturday 24th January.
