Time: 10am – 1pm (Day 1) and 10am – 12 noon (Day 2)
Design and make a set of two unique ceramic flowers (bird feeders or drinkers) for your garden. Made in high fired ceramic and finished in colours of your choice these pieces will brighten up a corner of your garden even in the depths of winter. Each flower is 15-20cm in diameter. Participants will learn the fundamentals of working with clay slabs, using textured stamps and patterns to embellish the surface and use of moulds to create different form.
Day 1 is making with clay and
Day 2 focuses on how to use different underglaze colours and glazes on the fired piece. Finished with a painted metal stalk they make ideal gifts for family or friends.
