Tuesdays 21st & 28th January 4th, 11th, 25th February & 4th March I 7pm – 9pm
with Rachael Armstrong of Little Perch Designs
Over the course of 6-weeks, participants will complete projects that enable them to learn basic skills which they will build on and develop so that they can sew independently.
As well as learning how to thread a sewing machine, how to cut and prepare fabric, participants will learn how to finish a seam with a zig zag stitch, apply interfacing, create a hem by pressing and sewing and insert a zip.
Participants will make their own fully lined Tote Bag, as well as a zippy bag. In the final weeks participants will used their newly acquired skills to make a nine-piece cushion cover.
Little Perch Designs will provide resources for the first project and will advise participants during week 1 of the materials they require thereafter. Sewing machines provided for all classes.
Suitable for ages 16+
