Join us in celebrating the return of Spring by weaving your very own St Brigid’s Cross or Triskele symbol. Making a St Brigid’s Cross is a custom in Ireland. St Brigid’s Day is celebrated on the 1 February each year and the crosses are made around this time. The St Brigid’s Cross is traditionally made from rushes for hanging above the entrances to dwellings to invoke the help of St Brigid in warding off disease and to protect against fire.
