To mark Ulster-Scotch Leid Week 20an24 / Ulster-Scots Language Week 2024, the Burnavon Arts & Cultural Centre in Cookstown will be hosting a free workshop delivered by the Ulster-Scots Agency in partnership with Mid Ulster District Council on Saturday 30 November to tell a family’s story through the creation of a tartan design.
All attendees must be accompanied by a parent / carer. There will be a brief introduction on the background of Ulster-Scots and the history of tartan at the beginning of the session before families move onto create their own family tartan design. At the end of the workshop participants will get the opportunity to share their finished design with the rest of the group.

The workshop is free to attend and suitable for ages 8-11 years. All participants must be accompanied by a parent/carer.
